The Resting Place
Midweek Teaching - 10/14/24
The purpose of this teaching is to help facilitate discussion and dialogue during our online gathering on Sunday, October 20th. We hope you will take the time to listen and join the conversation!
PROMPT for ONLINE GATHERING DISCUSSION:
Our heart behind this week's teaching is to stir hunger in you to desire more of the knowledge of Jesus. We ask that you take some time to reflect on your journey with the Lord and what hunger has looked like for you in different seasons of life. Where are you currently in regards to hungering and thirsting for the Lord? We believe hunger is a gift however, we have a part to play when it comes to our intentional yielding to His spirit. What are some ways you intentionally yield in your daily life to feed your hunger for the Lord?
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
Matthew 5:6

In this episode of The Resting Place podcast, we explore the profound journey of truly knowing Jesus beyond mere knowledge. As we prepare for our online gatherings, we delve into the transformative power of experiencing Christ in our lives. Through the wisdom of Baxter Kruger and the teachings of Philippians 3, we challenge the superficial rituals of the church and emphasize the importance of a deep, relational understanding of God. This episode invites you into the divine dance with the Holy Spirit, urging you to seek an experiential relationship with Jesus that transcends traditional boundaries.
Join us as we reflect on personal testimonies, the enduring legacy of reformers like John Huss, and the call to be transformed from one level of glory to another. This is more than a teaching; it's an invitation to the greatest days of knowing Jesus, where the life of God touches and transforms us through intimate knowledge of Him.
